Mummy Visualization

The Interspectral production team is one of the most experienced groups in world when it comes to visualising 3D scanned mummies and to present data from CT scanning in public exhibitions.

Using our specially created software Inside Explorer, we are able to offer unique solutions for public engagement in museums, science centres and public venues based on real, not simplified scientific data.

Since 2012, we have visualised over 20 mummies from 10 museums and research institutions world-wide.

3D CT Scanning

Interspectral provides through partners worldwide 3D volumetric scanning using technologies such as medical 3D CT and MRI and industrial 3D MicroCT.

With volumetric scanning its possible to capture not only the exterior but the complete interior of the mummy. The resulting 3D data can be used for research and public outreach.

3D Surface Scanning

Interspectral provides through partners worldwide 3D volumetric scanning using technologies such as medical 3D CT and MRI and industrial 3D MicroCT.

With volumetric scanning its possible to capture not only the exterior but the complete interior of the mummy. The resulting 3D data can be used for research and public outreach.

Data Processing and Exploration

Based on scans we capture or your existing 3D scans we can generate interactive 3D visualizations, animations, images and 3D prints.

We can support your research and discovery process by providing leading expertise in radiology and scientific visualization. We also deliver powerful easy to use visualization tools and infrastructure

Interactive Gallery Experience

Based on your 3D scans and with help of Inside Explorer we create amazing interactive user experiences.

We can generate interactive 3D-visualizations, animations, images, polygonal models and physical 3D-replicas using 3D-printing

Media Production

We can generate interactive 3D-visualizations, animations, images, polygonal models and physical 3D-replicas using 3D-printing.

3D Printing

Field Museum Collections: inside and out.

When scientists want to look inside a collection item without damaging it, they often turn to CT scanning. CT scans allow us to create detailed three-dimensional pictures of an item's interior.

Conservator JP Brown takes us through how you go about scanning items from Chancay pots to Egyptian mummies, what we learn from the results, and how we present the excitement of discovery to the public.
