Opening a New University Museum
The new Chau Chak Wing Museum in Sydney, Australia is a transformative project for the University of Sydney. Putting objects at the centre of teaching and learning is just one of the outcomes of bringing the diverse collections from three smaller museums with origins 150 years ago, across art, antiquities, science and natural history.
Combined in a brand new building at the heart of the campus provides a profile that increases access and relevance off campus too, welcoming a broad audience from across Sydney and beyond – and in the process – changing perceptions of the University as a destination open to all. Join our webinar hosted by Deputy Director, Dr Paul Donnelly as he gives us an insight into the philosophy behind the project and opening despite Covid-19.
