Moose

Within the deer family, the moose is the largest. However, unlike most other deer species, moose are solitary animals and do not form herds. An adult moose stands 1.4–2.1 m high at the shoulder, and the male moose can weigh over 500 kg.

The moose most commonly inhabit the boreal forests of the Northen Hemisphere in temperate to subarctic climates. The moose’s natural predators are wolves, bears, and humans. Their diet consists of both terrestrial and aquatic vegetation.
